CIS Innovation Lab Summer Programme 2025

This course, staffed by CIS teachers and facilitators (two per group of 16 students), centers around a final project where students present their video game to game design professionals for feedback. Throughout the course, students learn game design, collaboration, real-world problem solving, and coding skills in a fun and supportive environment. Week 1's activities connect to the Sustainable Development Goal of Good Health and Well-being, while Week 2 focuses on Sustainable Cities and Communities.

This course is centred around a robotics challenge and facilitated by CIS teachers and staff at a ratio of two facilitators for every 16 students. Students will work in small teams to complete a series of challenges using their robots. The course will cover topics such as design, collaboration, real-world problem-solving, engineering, and coding in a fun and supportive environment. Week 1 will focus on the Sustainable Development Goal of Good Health and Well-being, and Week 2 will focus on Sustainable Cities and Communities. Students will keep their robots after the course to encourage continued learning.

This course, staffed by two CIS teachers and staff for every 16 students, will be structured around a final project where students present their social enterprise to a panel of startup founders and mentors, shark tank style.   Students will learn AI skills, platforms, ethics, limitations, and literacy while building their social enterprise. The course will focus on collaboration, real-world problem-solving, and leadership. Week 1 will connect to the Sustainable Development Goal of Good Health and Well-being, while week 2 will connect to Sustainable Cities and Communities.  Students are encouraged to continue working on their projects after the course ends.
