Corporate Matching Gifts

Corporate matching gifts are a type of philanthropy in which companies financially match donations that their employees make to nonprofit organisations. When an employee makes a donation, they'll request the matching gift from their employer, who then makes their own donation.

Legacies and Bequests

A legacy or bequest is a wonderful way to customise your gift to your needs and objectives; to maximise your gift to the school at the same time as realising personal, financial and tax benefits.

Many legacy gifts are designated to be given all or in part upon a donor’s passing. Donors who wish to make such a gift are encouraged to contact our Advancement Office to discuss the terms of the gift and to ensure that their wishes will be fulfilled. CIS welcomes any bequests made to school under the donor's will, and naming CIS as the beneficiary under trusts, life insurance policies, commercial annuities and retirement plans

Cryptocurrency

CIS is happy to announce that we are now able to accept donations of Cryptocurrency through a secure, online donation platform. Given the extreme volatility of cryptocurrency, gifts of cryptocurrency will be immediately liquidated and the cash proceeds will be sent to the CIS Bank Account.

The value listed on your tax receipt will be the amount the school realises upon sale of your donated coins.
Cryptocurrency donations can be included as an itemised tax deduction on your tax return in the year that the gift is made.
For US Tax purposes, transactions using virtual currency must be reported in US dollars.
