Our Supportive Parents
Our supportive and passionate parents come from a range of cultural backgrounds and are an integral part of life at CIS. They partner with the school to apply their talents and skills to the benefit of all students. Since CIS's earliest days when they provisioned the school lunch and bus services, parents have always been encouraged to play a visible and supportive role in the education of their children. This tradition continues today through the deeply embedded culture of giving and volunteerism.
Getting Involved at CIS
There are numerous ways that parents can get involved in the community. Examples include serving as an Annual Fund Advocate and helping promote the culture of giving; serving on the General Committee of CISPTA, which promotes and facilitates open communication between parents and the school administration, or serving on one of the many CISPTA sub-committees, such as Community Events, Transport, and Sustainability, joining the parent-run volunteer organisation, CIS Phoenix Sports Club, whose mission is to support the efforts of the sports teams of the school, foster team spirit and school pride, CIS Phoenix Arts Club, whose mission is to support the diverse arts programme of the school; and volunteering as a Primary Class Parent or Secondary Year Representative. There is something for everyone!
