Year 1-6 Applicants
At the Primary school, the curriculum is taught in both English and Chinese (Mandarin) and each homeroom is headed by a pair of native-language teachers who collaborate to plan and teach outcomes from the school's enquiry-based and integrated programme.
Space availability in Year 1-6 is usually very limited (low single-digit openings for certain year levels) since places only open up when a child leaves. The Admissions Office will know how many openings are available by the end of April after existing students have confirmed their re-enrolment. As the curriculum at the Primary School is taught in both Chinese (Mandarin) and English, adequate levels of both languages are necessary to meet CIS's admissions requirements.
