Our 4 hour hike into the Village of Ping Xiang

Hiking around the hills of Lei Shan are fantastic.  Rice terraces
were carved into the sides of the mountain for the growing of rice mainly.
Until recently, the trails between the rice fields were the main
routes between the cut off villages, but, with roads reaching them now,
they are only being used by the farmers.

The start of our 4 hour hike into the village of Ping Xiang.

A good spot to rest and take a few pictures of the scenery.

Our first chance for both student groups to chat.

Mr. Wu with some Ping Xiang students.

All looking very happy at this stage in the walk.

Several river crossing were part of the walking route.

Meeting for the first time.

CIS and Ping Xiang students reaching to the sky.

Benny boy, looking good.

Waiting for the others to cross the two board bridge.

Trekking along a rice terrace - don't want to fall off, it's a way down!

Some woman we met enroute.

But, it's a soft landing.

Our view of Ping Xiang, with the village clinic standing out.

The happy trekkers.

Rice terraces always in view.

It's all about the landscape.
