As part of CIS's commitment to the students and school of Fang Xiang, the students who participate in the Project will undertake post trip fund and awareness raising activities, and donate the money to Zigen. These have included a book and candle sale, bake goods sale, writing pads sales, framed photograph auction and our premier event, the Gala Evening. It's our belief that all fund raising must include awareness raising on the opportunities and constraints which the Miao Fang Xiang children encounter daily, for the donators.

Our Fund Raising Activities concluded on Feb 21, 2008 (Chinese Valentines Day), and what a great surprise for everyone, as the groups efforts totaled $34, 300 HKD. Thank you to all who supported the efforts of the 16 students who endeavored to raise the money through a variety methods. How the donation is to be spent:

Our fund raising activities
have ended with a BANG!, raising almost $27,000 - $7,000 more than our
targeted goal. Well done everyone and thank you to all who supported
the student's fund raising efforts.
