Your Journey...
Through this journey you will have to complete the following:
background research
a list of top ten inventions
make predictions for the future
You may in pairs on this journey, but all of you will be responsible for input on each section.
Stops on the Way
Discover what the Industrial Revolution was and how
it impacted people's lives and what its effect is on
your life today. You will do this through answering a
series of questions and summarizing your responses
in a one page paper. To begin your journey, go to Background - The Industrial Revolution.
Compile a list of what you consider to be the ten most
important inventions through out history. You will
then have to choose three inventions that you could
not live without and explain why. To take the next
step in your journey, go to Inventions.
Make some predictions for the future. To complete
your journey, go to The Future.

Each page will list a variety of resources for you to use to complete each stop on your journey. Resources will include links to other sites on the internet as well as supplementary sources you will find in a library. Feel free to use all available resources.

Conclusions--What If...?
You have just been on a journey through the Industrial Revolution. Write me a paper with your thoughts about this journey on the internet. Also, tell me what do you think your life would have been like if you had lived during the industrial revolution? Would you have been an innovator of change or a worker in a factory? What would life be like if the industrial revolution never occurred? What do you think life would be like today without all of the advances and technological changes of the industrial revolution? Would we have computers, the internet, televisions, breakthroughs in medicine, etc.? What do you think?
