Admission decisions are based on a careful assessment of each student's ability to achieve success in an environment of high expectations requiring self-discipline and responsibility to the school community. In making this assessment, CIS will evaluate each applicant's language proficiency, demonstrated academic achievement (particularly for older students), and record of conduct.
Applicants must have undergone an assessment before they can be admitted. It is generally preferred that applicants participate in an assessment conducted in-person by CIS teachers on-campus, particularly for students applying to the younger year levels. Special arrangements for overseas applicants will be made on a case-by-case basis, and overseas applicants are advised to consult the Admissions Office.
The admissions calendar and process of assessment are different at different year levels. Prospective applicant families are encouraged to read the relevant sections below and to consult the Admissions Office should they wish more information about a particular year-level. |
