Tai Shan Bicycle Expedition
Guangdong, China
(Project Week October 2008)

This expedition  explored the western side of the Pearl River Delta, home to the Tai Shan people who took part in the earliest wave of out migration to North America and Europe in the 1800’s.  We saw the stunning “towers” which dot the rural landscape, experienced the rural activities as the farmers brought in their fall harvest,  and best of all, we did it from a bicycle, the original “peoples” transport. (Bicycle support was provide by Mountain Bike Asia)

Tai Shan Bicycle Expedition was led by  experienced CIS Trip leaders, Mr. Etheridge, Mr. Brian  and Ms. Mei Feng, our language specialist.
