Tung Ping Chau
      September 17 - 20, 2008
       IB Diploma Geography
      Student Field Work

On September 17 - 20, 2008, 16 students and two teachers carried out two investigations
on the Island of Tung Ping Chau:  a Coastal Processes Investigation and an Eco-tourism Investigation.
It's fantastic to see the students co-operate in this outdoor classroom:  setting hypothesis, collecting data and
eventually analyzing their results and presenting them in a final report. The Eco-tourism reports will be
presented to the Agricultural Fisheries and Conservation Department to develop discussion on real issues
affecting this unique island.

This Chert Layer makes an excellent photo op.

The waters are becoming pristine now that the island is a marine park.
